Product Description
RG-8100 trivalent white chromium
Product Introduction

The R · G-8100 trivalent chromium white chromium electroplating process is a new generation of environmentally friendly products developed by the company by introducing and absorbing American technology. The coating does not contain hexavalent chromium and complies with EU ROHS environmental regulations. The plating solution is stable and cost-effective.

  • Free of hexavalent chromium, environmentally friendly product, simple wastewater treatment.
  • Uniform color, beautiful appearance, and good coverage and plating ability.
  • Power outage during electroplating will not have adverse consequences and the deposition rate is fast.
  • Adopting imported specialized graphite anodes can improve quality and increase the stability of the plating solution.

Equipment Requirements
  • Plating tanks: PVC, ABS, and polyethylene-lined tanks
  • Anode: Utilizes specialized anodes and titanium hooks
  • Temperature control: Utilizes titanium heating and cooling tube systems
  • Rectifier: 9~15V, provides DC power. To ensure stable plating solution, it is recommended to equip with an ampere-hour meter for cumulative measurement
Functions and Controls of Raw Materials

Open cylinder salt: used to increase the specific gravity of the plating solution, with an optimal value of 26 Baume. For every unit increase, 22 g/L of open cylinder salt needs to be added. If the concentration is too high, it will lead to Crystallization of the plating solution can lead to anode passivation and blockage of the air supply pipe. When the concentration is too low, it can affect the conductivity of the plating solution.

Chromium salt: Supplement the chromium ions consumed by the plating solution, with a supplement amount of 400-500 g/KAH. Due to the low solubility of chromium salts, they must be added slowly Adding a small amount gradually and 1 g/L of chromium salt can increase the chromium content by 0.15 g/L.

Stabilizer: A stable compound formed with trivalent chromium, which can remove black lines on the coating, make the coating bright, and improve the depth ability of the plating solution Excessive height will affect movement, while low height will result in black stripe coating, with a consumption of 1500-2000 ml/KAH.

Wetting agent: Insufficient concentration will result in black coating. The consumption is 500 ml/KAH.

Displacement agent: can increase the range of current density, too much will increase the blackness of the coating.

Auxiliary agent: To enhance the salt spray of the coating, the amount added needs to be controlled. Excessive addition can lead to a decrease in the stability of the plating solution, with a consumption of 10-50 ml/KAH.

PH value: The pH value can be adjusted with hydrochloric acid or concentrated ammonia water. The pH value decreases with the addition of 2ml/L concentrated hydrochloric acid plating solution 0.1. After adding 2ml/L concentrated ammonia solution, the pH value of the plating solution increases by 0.1. After adding hydrochloric acid or ammonia solution, it needs to be stirred for 2-4 hours before the pH machine can be used to test the plating Liquid pH, if the pH is too high, trivalent chromium will precipitate.

Temperature: When the temperature of the plating solution is low, the depth ability of the plating solution is better, but the color of the coating is darker and the deposition rate decreases. If it is too low, precipitation may occur. When the temperature of the plating solution is high, the deep plating ability of the plating solution is poor, but the color of the coating is white and the deposition rate is fast. If it is too high, it will seriously affect the coating coverage ability

Please add in ampere hours during production and fill out the record form.

Control and Influence of Metal Impurities
When trivalent chromium plating solution is contaminated by metal impurities such as copper, zinc, nickel, iron, lead, etc., the color and appearance of the coating will be affected to some extent
Degree impact. When the content of metal impurities is high, the coating color tends to be black. When the content is excessively high, the coating color will be uneven and black will appear
Shadow and black stripes, etc. The introduction of plating solution and the dissolution of workpieces from the hanging fixture into the tank are the main sources of metal impurities.
Plating solution maintenance:
Regularly cleaning the cylinder and removing workpieces that have fallen into the bottom of the cylinder can effectively prevent the influence of metal impurities on the color of the trivalent chromium coating. majority
Metal impurities such as zinc, copper, iron, and nickel can be removed by strengthening filtration and electrolytic treatment.
